Welcome to Education Innovation at Western Sydney University. We work on transformational projects involving ideating and testing a new model of postgraduate learning for WSU that provides opportunity for flexibility, innovation, and deep industry partnerships. We don’t just adapt to the evolving demands of digital education; we shape them.

Our team takes a collaborative and market-demand approach, working with leading industry partners, to create highly differentiated microcredentials that are focussed on the emerging and upskilling needs of the workforce.  All our short courses are based around learner-centricity, teach practical workplace skills to help lifelong learners amplify impact and stay relevant.

OUR VISION

In a world driven by rapid technological advances and shifting workforce needs, Western Sydney University’s vision for postgraduate learning is more than adaptive – it’s transformative.

Our mission is to reimagine the learner experience and equip learners with the tools to act upon their hunger for growth, the ability to level up in their careers and the ability to enhance their impact in the world.

LATEST INNOVATION

We recognise that innovation is not a solitary endeavour, but rather a collaborative way of working. Our ground-breaking developments are only possible thanks to the genuine partnerships and collaboration between our dedicated professional team, our Industry partners, and Western’s academic experts.

Our Latest Innovations is a living showcase for all our work; our research and articles, technology pilots, case studies, pedagogical frameworks, and of course, our microcrecredentials.

THE LEARNING WAVE

A Learning Experience Design framework, designed to positively impact learning behaviour through storytelling, motivation and engagement.
Today’s learners have high expectations of a good digital experience, the Learning Wave embraces principles from modern platforms such as digital games to create high engaging and motivating learning experiences.

METAHUMAN

An intelligent tutor and practice simulation, the Metahuman prototype, has been developed at Western Sydney University by the PGx team to immerse learners in real-life scenarios using conversational AI technology.
The Metahuman can deployed in different contexts and rapidly modified, via an AI prompt template to create different personalities and scenarios and delivered at the fidelity and scale required for your learners.
